NEWPORT, R.I. (March 27, 2026) – Emerson College did not drop a set on its way to a 7-0 victory over Salve Regina University in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's tennis match at Salve Regina Tennis Courts this afternoon.

How It Happened
- Emerson swept the three doubles matches to clinch the first point of the match with Nocchi and Leung cruising to a 6-1 win at No. 1 for the point clinching win after Riebold and first year Adam Alireza did not drop a game in their win at No. 3 doubles.
- Finestone posted Emerson's first singles point without dropping a game on his way to a straight sets win at No. 4 singles against Salve Regina freshman Colin Fleet.
- Nocchi drew the Lions within a point of the match win with his 6-1, 6-1 sweep of senior Jacob Faulise at No. 1 singles.
- Leeves-Coben captured the matchwinner for Emerson, dropping just a game in his straight sets win at No. 6 singles over sophomore Mason Mizula.
- Mesaros, Riebold and Leung followed with wins at No. 5, 3 and 2 singles, respectively, to complete the singles sweep for the Lions.

"I am really happy with the team getting our first Conference victory of the season on a cold and windy day," said Emerson head coach Burke Paxton. "I hope we use this momentum going into our big conference tilt against Coast Guard on Sunday."
