DAVENPORT, Fla. (March 13, 2026) – Emerson College posted its first win of the season with a 9-5 decision in game two to earn a split of its non-conference baseball doubleheader with Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts at Lake Myrtle Park this afternoon. MCLA took game one of the day, 6-1.
Game 2: Emerson 9, MCLA 5

McCoy |
Emerson rebounded in game two of the doubleheader behind first year Jack McCoy at the plate and sophomore Lukas Phillip on the mound to earn its first win of the season – as well as under first year head coach Billy Uberti.
McCoy led Emerson's ten hit attack by going 3-for-3 at the plate with a double, two RBI and a run scored. He also served as the battery-mate to Phillip who earned the win (1-0) on the hill as he held MCLA scoreless into the seventh before surrendering four runs, just two earned, while scattering four hits and three walks with five strikeouts over 6.1 innings for his first collegiate win. Sophomore Xavier Hall struck out the only batter he faced, representing the tying run, to secure the win and his first career save.
First year Cameron Forbes drove in two runs and finished 1-for-3 at the plate for Emerson, while senior Charlie Coors hit 1-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored for the Lions.
Junior Maximus Krasnow batted 1-for-2 with a walk, RBI and run scored for MCLA. Freshman Gavin Pettit had a hit and was hit by a pitch, scoring a run and driving one in for the Trailblazers. Postgrad Joshua Bissaillon took the loss on the mound (0-1), allowing three earned runs on five hits with three strikeouts and three walks over three innings.
Emerson grabbed control with a three-run second, loading the bases with a walk and two singles before Forbes delivered a two-run single up the middle with one out. Junior Justin Fields followed with an RBI single to left with two away.
Emerson gained valuable insurance with six in the fourth with Coors greeting MCLA junior reliever Collin Booth with a two-run single up the middle before McCoy tacked on a two-run double to center.
MCLA loaded the bases with none out before Krasnow was able to break up Phillips shutout bid by drawing a bases-loaded walk. The Trailblazers would bring the tying run to the plate without benefit of a hit before Hall entered and struck out junior George Feliz to end the game.
Game 1: MCLA 6, Emerson 1

Fuller |
Sophomore righthander Cam Harrington fired five innings of two-hit shutout baseball for MCLA on the mound to earn the win (2-0), while two relievers combined to allow just one unearned run over the final two as the Trailblazers grabbed a four run lead after two innings and didn't look back. Harrington struck out seven and worked around six walks in the start.
Sophomore Roshan Warriar scored three runs, walking three times and stealing a base, while Joshua Bissaillon doubled and drove in two for MCLA. Freshman Jake Jasminski hit 1-for-2 with a steal and RBI for the Trailblazers.
First year Vincent Fuller recorded two of Emerson's four hits in the game, finishing 2-for-3 with a walk and stolen base. Senior Charlie Coors remained productive at the plate for the Lions with a sacrifice fly and RBI. Junior Tyler Metcalf took the loss on the mound for Emerson (0-2), allowing four runs, just two earned, on four hits with four strikeouts and four walks over four innings.
MCLA grabbed an early two run lead in the first with Jasminski driving in a run with a single to center after sophomore Benjamin Jacob led off the game with an infield single and later scored on a balk. The Trailblazers doubled their lead with a pair of unearned runs in the second and then extended the advantage with two more in the sixth with Bissaillon's two-run double down the rightfield line.
Emerson avoided the shutout in the top of the seventh, loading the bases with an error and singles from Fuller and junior Braeden O'Connell with one out before Coors followed with a sacrifice fly to left center.
