BOSTON, Mass. (February 10, 2026) – Emerson College hit .381 as a team and delivered 15 service aces in posting a 3-0 (25-16, 25-8, 25-12) victory over Fisher College in a non-conference men's volleyball matchup at Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gymnasium tonight.
First year Cade Ott powered Emerson with season-highs of 12 kills and seven service aces, adding a season-best three assists and seven digs, scoring a season-high 19.0 points for the Lions. He delivered his 12 kills on 19 total attacks with just two errors to hit a season-best .526 and recorded nearly half of the Lions 15 aces on the night.
First year Ryan Chen dished out 23 assists and three aces with two kills and two block assists. Sophomore Cash Muse added eight kills, with just one error, for a .538 hitting percentage, and five block assists, while first year Mario Cielo-Salinas chipped in four kills without an error for a season-best .444 hitting percentage, four digs, three blocks and an ace.

Juniors Thomas Bollentin and Carlos Posado led Fisher with five kills apiece, while Bollentin added five digs, an assist and block and Posado totaled seven digs. Senior Carlos Diaz dished out 12 assists with three digs and an ace for the Falcons.
Muse and Ott paced the Emerson attack in the opening set with four and three kills, respectively, without an error as the Lions hit .304 as a team and served up five aces. Emerson used a 7-4 spurt to gain control of the set (16-10) after Ott served a pair of aces. Chen and Cielo-Salinas also served up aces late in the frame to help clinch the set win.
Emerson bumped its hitting percentage to .400 in seizing quick control of the second set, with Ott notching four of the Lions 11 kills in the frame. The Lions opened a 12-4 advantage, keyed by a kill from first year Jack Ferrie and then stretched the lead to ten (15-5) with a Chen ace and did not look back in drawing within a set of the win.
Ott served up three-straight aces to give Emerson an early edge (5-2) in the final set it would not relinquish. He recorded five kills without an error on seven total attacks (.714) and finished the set with four aces in closing out the win. Emerson used a 10-3 run, paced by two Ott kills, to open an 18-8 lead in the frame before closing the match out with a Chen kill.
Emerson (3-4, 0-0 GNAC) returns to action on Thursday when it visits Regis College for a non-conference clash at 7 p.m. The Lions next home match is Thursday, February 19, when they host Nichols College for a non-conference clash on Boylston Street at 7 p.m. Fisher (0-6) visits Sarah Lawrence College for a doubleheader on Friday at 6 p.m.
