BOSTON – Emerson Women's Soccer battled intracity rival Suffolk to a scoreless draw on Saturday (Sept. 6) afternoon at Rotch Field to stay undefeated in the 2025 campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

The visitors put on the pressure early, forcing two corner kicks in the opening minutes and recording six of the first seven shots of the contest.

Sophomore goalkeeper Hailey Forman was up to the test each time, recording three of her four saves in the opening period.

The Lions picked up the pace in the latter part of the half, recording three shots in the final 17 minutes.

Suffolk was in control in the second half as well, recording eight shots to Emerson's one. Four of those shots came in the final 13 minutes, but the Rams could not put one between the pipes.

Emerson's backline was solid. Despite giving up 17 shots, the Lions' disruptive pressure ensured only four of them were on-frame.

The Lions also skillfully defended nine opposing corner kicks.

Forman earned her first clean sheet of the season, making four saves in the draw.

Suffolk keeper Arden Rose saved three shots to earn her own clean sheet.
