BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Emmanuel before topping Rivier 3-1 for the first time in program history Saturday afternoon at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym to wrap up the regular season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emmanuel rolled to a 25-10 victory in the opening set to establish a 1-0 lead.
- The Saints claimed the second frame 25-15 to extend their advantage to 2-0.
- The visitors cruised to a 25-13 decision in the third to lock up their seventh-straight win.

- Rivier responded with a 25-23 decision in the third to trim the deficit to 2-1.
- Emerson prevailed 29-27 in the fourth set to secure its first-ever victory over the Raiders.

- Theo Hackett (Portland, Maine) posted 27 kills and three service aces.

- Bryson Beck (Fresno, Calif.) tallied 48 assists.
- Semaj Byrd (Rockledge, Fla.) collected 16 digs in the match.
GNAC TOURNAMENT UPCOMING:
After finishing with a 5-9 record in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference, Emerson claimed the No. 6 seed in the GNAC Tournament and will travel to third-seeded Emmanuel April 8 in the quarterfinals.
