BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's lacrosse team suffered a narrow 11-10 setback to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Saturday night at Rotch Field in the final regular-season home game.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams scored three goals in the first quarter to end the opening 15 minutes deadlocked at 3-3.
- Mass. Maritime outscored Emerson 4-3 in the second period to own a 7-6 advantage at the half.
- The Lions pulled even at 9-9 just before the third quarter horn as Holland Rutter (Pingree Grove, Ill.) and Ava DelliCompagni (Coatesville, Pa.) both found the back of the net in the final minute.
- After the visitors snagged a one-goal edge, the home side responded with the equalizer with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter as Ava Selby (Boonsboro, Md.) tallied her second goal of the night.
- The Buccaneers reclaimed the lead with 2:20 left to play in regulation and held on to snap a five-game skid.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Ava DelliCompagni (Coatesville, Pa.) paced the Lions with three goals and three assists to go with five draw controls.
- Callie Krosin (Pikesville, Md.) and Laina Gustafson (Cross Plains, Wisc.) both tallied two goals and dished out one assist.
- Ava Selby (Boonsboro, Md.) netted a pair of goals.
- Ellie Spotts (Corona del Mar, Calif.) registered 15 saves in goal.
- Emerson finished with 36 shots on the night, six of which hit a pipe in the second half. Mass. Maritime recorded 34 shot attempts in the contest.
SENIOR NIGHT CELEBRATION:
Prior to the start of the game, the Emerson women's lacrosse team honored seniors Grace Danehy (Mansfield, Mass.), Callie Krosin (Pikesville, Md.), and Ava Selby (Boonsboro, Md.).
