BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's lacrosse team endured a 12-4 loss to Coast Guard Saturday afternoon in the final regular-season game at Rotch Field.
THE BASICS:

Records: Lions (2-11, 0-6 NEWMAC) | Bears (8-5, 3-3 NEWMAC)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Coast Guard captured a 4-1 lead after the opening quarter of action.
- The Bears netted four unanswered goals in the second period to boast an 8-1 advantage at the halftime intermission.
- The visitors edged the home side 3-2 in third-quarter scoring to extend the margin to 11-3.
- Both teams tallied one goal in the fourth quarter secured the win to snap a three-game skid.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jack Burns (Clarksville, Md.) poured in a team-high three goals on the day.
- Benson Offit (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) finished with one goal.
- John Marcone (Oakland, Calif.) and Toby Cunningham (Norwalk, Conn.) each added one assist.
- Ethan Corby (Whity, Ontario) record 16 saves in his third start between the pipes. Elijah Turbow (Valley Village, Calif.) made a relief appearance in goal for the Lions and registered one save.
- Emerson concluded the game with 27 shots while Coast Guard produced 47 shot attempts.
SENIOR DAY CELEBRATION:
Prior to the start of the game, the Emerson men's lacrosse team honored its six seniors: Jack Burns (Clarksville, Md.), Alex Menendez (Naperville, Ill.), Benson Offit (Cape Elizabeth, Maine), Elijah Turbow (Valley Village, Calif.), Jared Valluzzi (Huntington, N.Y.), and Grant Wilson (Los Angeles, Calif.).
