LYNN, Mass.- The Emerson College baseball team suffered a pair of shutout losses to Springfield Sunday afternoon at Fraser Field, falling 9-0 before dropping a pitchers' duel in extra-innings 2-0.
GAME ONE

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Springfield snagged a 1-0 edge with a run in the top of the first inning.
- The Pride tallied two runs in the third to widen the gap to 3-0.
- Springfield added a run in the top of the fourth to stretch its lead to 4-0.
- The Pride picked up a pair of runs in the fifth inning to extend the margin to 6-0.
- Springfield manufactured three runs to push its advantage to 9-0.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Braeden O'Connell (Boxford, Mass.) landed a pair of base hits.
- Jake Okamoto (Placentia, Calif.) chipped in with one hit.
- Ezra Charles (Baltimore, Md.) pitched 4.1 innings in his fifth start and recorded one strikeout. Tyler Metcalf (Louisville, Ky.) worked 2.2 innings and fanned two batters in his team-leading 12th appearance of the season. Jake Smith (Boyne City, Mich.) tossed one inning in his ninth relief outing. Henry Kagan (Pelham, N.Y.) threw one-third of an inning before Torin McCann-Braun (Seattle, Wash.) made his first career pitching appearance, hurling two-thirds of an inning of relief.

- Springfield broke up the scoreless stalemate with a pair of runs in the top of the 11th inning, seizing a 2-0 lead.

- Nick Hubbe (Chappaqua, N.Y.) notched two hits.
- Braeden O'Connell (Boxford, Mass.) finished with one hit and one stolen base.
- Chris Ferara (Coral Springs, Fla.) collected one base knock.
- Aidan Rice (Columbus, Ohio) tossed nine scoreless innings and registered six strikeouts in his ninth start of the spring.
- Tyler Metcalf (Louisville, Ky.) and Shane Moriarty (Greenville, S.C.) both worked one inning of relief.
