WENHAM, Mass.- The Emerson College men's lacrosse team collected a 13-5 victory at Gordon Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After Gordon grabbed an early 2-0 lead, Emerson answered with two goals by Benson Offitt (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) to end the first quarter deadlocked at 2-2.
- The Lions chalked up four goals in the second frame while shutting out the Fighting Scots to hold a 6-2 advantage at the break.
- The home side netted three consecutive goals to start the third quarter and trim the gap to 6-5.
- Emerson responded with three unanswered scores to close out the third with a 9-5 lead.
- The Lions tallied four goals in the fourth quarter and kept Gordon off the scoreboard in the final 15 minutes to secure a 13-5 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jack Burns (Clarksville, Md.) racked up six points on the night, scoring four goals and dishing out two assists.
- Benson Offitt (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) tallied four goals and added an assist.
- Toby Cunningham (Norwalk, Conn.) finished with a goal and an assist while Alex Menendez (Naperville, Ill.) notched two assists.
- Grant Wilson (Los Angeles, Calif.) scooped up a team-high seven ground balls to go with one goal scored.
- Elijah Turbow (Valley Village, Calif.) posted 10 saves in net before Ethan Corby (Whitby, Ontario) registered three saves in six minutes of relief action.
- Emerson fired a season-high 57 shots in the contest and finished 17-for-18 on clear attempts.
- Gordon manufactured 38 shot attempts and won 16-of-22 face-offs.
