Men’s Basketball Earns Three CSC All-District Nods

BOSTON, Mass.- Three members of the Emerson College men's basketball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, announced the organization Tuesday. Trevor Arico (Saline, Mich.), Jacob Armant (Arlington, Texas), and Linus Helmhold (Krefeld, Germany) garnered CSC Academic All-District honors.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District Men's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Arico started all 27 games this season and led the Lions with 15.1 points per game. He shot 44.8% from the floor, 39% from three-point range, and 82.8% from the free throw line.

Armant started all 27 contests and ranked second on the team with 12 points per game. He paced the squad with 66 assists on the year to go with 25 steals.

Helmhold appeared in all 27 games and made seven starts. He was named to the All-NEWMAC second team while averaging 11.4 points and 7.5 rebounds per contest.

Emerson concluded the 2024-25 campaign with a 13-14 overall record to go with a 7-9 mark in league competition. The Lions grabbed the No. 4 seed in the NEWMAC Tournament and fell to top-seeded WPI in the semifinal round.
