BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's basketball team claimed a crucial 92-81 victory over Clark Saturday afternoon at Hank Smith Court.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson grabbed a double-digit advantage with 2:02 left to play in the first half on a trey by Shay Roban (Long Island, NY), 38-28.
- Clark cut the deficit to 38-31 on a three-pointer by Ian Calabrese just before the halftime break.
- The Cougars captured a 67-66 edge with 8:50 left to play in regulation.
- The Lions responded with six-straight points to claim a 72-67 advantage with 7:30 on the clock.
- Emerson regained a double-figure lead with 3:25 to go in the second stanza as Guillermo Gasset Ruiz (Malaga, Spain) splashed a trey from the right wing.
- The hosts converted 4-of-4 from the charity stripe in the final minute to seal an 11-point victory while snapping a five-game skid against Clark.

- Guillermo Gasset Ruiz (Malaga, Spain) scored a season-high 19 points to go with four rebounds and three steals.
- Jacob Armant (Arlington, Texas) finished with 16 points, five boards, and five assists.
- Linus Helmhold (Krefeld, Germany) notched 12 points, eight rebounds, and five assists.
- Trevor Arico (Saline, Mich.) tallied 13 points and Lucas Brenner (Miami, Fla.) added 11 points.
- Emerson concluded the contest with a season-best field-goal percentage of 61.5% and drained 8-of-17 three-point attempts.
- Clark shot 44.8% from the floor and 36.7% from the perimeter.
