WORCESTER, Mass.- The Emerson College men's basketball team suffered a 72-46 setback at nationally-ranked Worcester Polytechnic Institute Wednesday evening. The Engineers entered the contest ranked No. 17 in the latest D3Hoops.com National Poll.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- WPI outscored Emerson 45-32 in the first half after shooting 55.2% from the floor and 56.3% from behind the arc in the opening 20 minutes.
- The Engineers chalked up 27 points and limited the Lions to 10 points in the second stanza to secure their 11th-consecutive victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Trevor Arico (Saline, Mich.) finished with eight points while grabbing six boards.
- Linus Helmhold (Krefeld, Germany) registered eight points and four rebounds.
- Jacob Armant (Arlington, Texas) chipped in with eight points and Guillermo Gasset Ruiz (Malaga, Spain) added seven points.
- Emerson finished with a field-goal percentage of 32.7% and knocked down 4-of-21 from three-point range.
- WPI shot 48.8% from the floor and 42.3% from the perimeter on the evening.
- Tim Reidy scored a game-high 22 points for the home side while Brett Marelli netted 17 points and seven rebounds.
