BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-2 decision to Bard Friday evening at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bard posted a 25-20 win in the first set to seize a 1-0 edge.
- Emerson responded with a 25-21 victory in the second frame to level the match at 1-1.
- The Raptors captured the third 25-17 to reclaim a one-set advantage, 2-1.
- The Lions clawed back to triumph 25-20 in the fourth set to knot the contest at 2-2.
- In the decisive fifth frame, Bard topped Emerson 15-10 to prevail in the first-ever matchup between the squads.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Chase Fagen (Rye, N.Y.) paced the home team with 20 kills to go with eight digs.
- Liam Higgins (Redwood City, Calif.) notched a career-high eight kills and a career-best 17 digs.
- Bryson Beck (Fresno, Calif.) registered 38 assists, 11 digs, and six kills.
- Cash Muse (Montauk, N.Y.) and Stanley Yu (Shanghai, China) both added five kills while Riley Goldman (Sherman Oaks, Calif.) tallied seven total blocks.
