BOSTON, Mass. (December 6, 2025) – Emerson College shot a season-high 60.7-percent from the floor, burying a season-high matching 12 three-pointers, as it bounced back from a midweek defeat with an 85-75 victory over Framingham State University in a non-conference women's basketball matchup on Hank Smith Court at Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gymnasium this afternoon.
Sophomore Jessie Silk paced the Emerson victory with a game-high 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting, including all four three-point tries, six rebounds, a season-high seven assists and a steal. Senior Bri Frongillo added 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting, four rebounds and two assists, while junior Kendra Dodd made 3-of-6 three-pointers for nine points for the Lions. Senior Sofia Canter chipped in eight points and two rebounds off the bench.
Senior Kiara Cerruti led Framingham State with 22 points, hitting 6-of-12 three-pointers, with three rebounds, two assists and a steal, while sophomore Jacqueline Schels added 21 points, five rebounds, four assists, two blocked shots and a steal. Junior Kelsey Yelle contributed ten points, seven boards (four offensive), two assists and two steals.
Emerson shot over 50-percent from the floor in all four quarters, including a white-hot 10-of-13 (76.9%) in the second quarter, including 7-of-8 (87.5%) from beyond the arc, outscoring Framingham State 27-18 in the frame to carry a 46-32 lead into halftime. The Lions made their first four shots of the second, including a pair of Dodd three-pointers, to open a double-digit lead (29-18) for the first time with 6:46 to play in the half. That opened a larger 21-4 run that saw the Emerson lead grow to 22 points (40-18) with four minutes to go before the intermission, capped by three-straight three-pointers from Canter (two) and Frongillo.
Framingham closed back within 14 (46-32) at the break as Cerruti capped the second quarter with a three-pointer. The Rams used a 17-6 push over the early portion of the third quarter to draw back within six (56-50) after a three-pointer from freshman Zaria Anderson with 3:38 remaining in the frame.
Frongillo followed with five-straight points to put Emerson back up 11 (61-50) before the Lions carried a ten-point cushion (63-53) into the fourth. The Lions extended that lead to 15 (68-53) on a three-pointer by sophomore Lindsay Gould less than a minute into the fourth, but Framingham made another charge to within seven (68-61) with 6:30 to play following back-to-back triples by Cerruti.
That was as close as Emerson would allow the visitors to get, scoring the next six points to restore the double digit lead (72-61) after two Gould free-throws to start a 13-5 run that stretched the Lions lead back to 15 (81-66) with a Silk three with three minutes to go that sealed the win.
