NASHUA, N.H. (October 8, 2025) – Emerson College fought back to claim a 1-1 draw with Rivier University in a non-conference men's soccer matchup at Joanne Merrill Field this afternoon.
Emerson battled back from surrendering an own goal in the 16th minute to earn the draw as junior Jason Karas equalized in the 69th minute with his second goal of the season, assisted by first-year Nayan Martlin. Karas has scored the Lions last two goals dating back to last week's non-conference draw at Westfield State University and tonight's goal marked the third goal of his career, while Martlin's assist marks his first collegiate point.
First-year Finn MacLeod made his first collegiate start in goal for Emerson and registered two saves in earning his first collegiate win. Freshman Lucas Shades made eight stops in goal for Rivier.
