MEDFORD, Mass. (October 25, 2025) – Tufts University, ranked No. 1 in this week's United Soccer Coaches Association NCAA Division III poll, broke open a one goal match at the half for a 6-0 victory over Emerson College in a non-conference men's soccer matchup at Bello Field this afternoon.
Senior Mason Shultz scored a pair of second half goals, while classmate Henry Perkins dished out three assists to lead top-ranked Tufts to its sixth-straight win. Junior Xavier Canfin also collected multiple points for the Jumbos with two assists.
Seniors Nikola Antic and Sammy Kao split the goalkeeping duties for Tufts and neither recorded a save for Tufts in the clean sheet. First-year Asa Roberts finished with nine stops in goal for Emerson.
Senior Mateo Bargagna gave Tufts the lead midway through the opening half after passes on the sideline by Canfin and Perkins by scoring his second goal of the year from 25-yards out.
Emerson held Tufts through halftime before the Jumbos broke the game open with five second half goals. Junior Henry Brown's fifth goal of the season less than 90-seconds into the second half provided some cushion, before Shultz scored his first two goals of the season within an eight minute span just past the hour mark as the Jumbos started to pull away – the first assisted by Canfin, while Perkins set up the second.
