AMHERST, Mass. (October 24, 2025) – Amherst College rallied from a set down to post a 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-15, 25-21) triumph over Emerson College in a non-conference women's volleyball matchup at LeFrak Gymnasium tonight.

Freshman Gabrielle Hines paced Amherst with 13 kills and a .360 hitting percentage, while classmate Addison Lau added nine kills with five digs and three block assists. Freshmen Eleanor Jones and Judith Subirats-Bosch spearheaded the attack with 18 and 14 assists, respectively, while Subirats-Bosch completed a double-double with ten digs and Jones chipped in two service aces and three digs. Junior Brielle Renwick contributed seven kills and a .400 hitting percentage with seven blocks.

Junior Rachel Dickerson led Emerson with 13 kills, while sophomore Chloe Dickerson posted a double-double with 11 kills and 14 assists, adding eight digs and two block assists. Sophomore Sophia Schiappa delivered a career-high 20 assists, while junior Lauren Yoo chipped in 14 digs.

Hokenson, Dickerson and first-year Emma Luehring led Emerson to the early set lead with 14 combined kills and just three errors with the trio leading Emerson to its .312 team hitting percentage in the frame by posting a combined .458 hitting percentage amongst the trio. The Lions used a 6-2 run to close out the set, sparked by a pair of kills from Dickerson.

Amherst took control over the next two sets to level the match and then grab the lead, posting six blocks in the second set alone, including five (one solo) by Renwick. The Mammoths rode four kills on six total attacks by Lau and three service aces by freshman Stella Jacey in taking the third set.

Emerson battled to force a fifth set, but Amherst held in a set that saw nine ties and four lead changes by scoring the final three points after the Lions had closed to within a point (22-21) after trailing by four (21-17) late.
