Men's Soccer Erupts at Clark, 3-1

Carson brace headlines Lions three goal outburst

WORCESTER, Mass. (October 18, 2025) – Emerson College matched its season-high scoring output in a 3-1 triumph over Clark University in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) men's soccer action at Granger Field this afternoon.

First-year Carlo Carson and junior Rohan Edwards combined for a pair of goals in the opening 20 minutes to send Emerson off to its first NEWMAC win of the season. Carson scored the first two goals of his collegiate career off passes from Edwards, who collected the first two assists of his career.

Carson and Edwards linked up for his first collegiate goal just 8:49 into the match, before the duo doubled the Emerson lead at 19:05. The Lions extended their lead to 3-0 6:40 into the second half as postgrad Dominic Reiter scored his first goal of the year (third career).

Clark pulled a goal back with just 1:22 to play with a score by senior Amechi Aduba, assisted by freshman Theo Massie-Vereker.

First-year Asa Roberts finished with one save in the Emerson goal, while senior Diego Marin had three stops for Clark.

Emerson (4-5-5, 1-3-1 NEWMAC) is back in action on Wednesday, when it hosts Babson College for a NEWMAC matchup at Rotch Field at 6 p.m. Clark (4-8-2, 0-4-1 NEWMAC) visits MIT on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
