NEW LONDON, Conn.- The Emerson College men's basketball team suffered a narrow 61-57 setback at Connecticut College Tuesday afternoon in the final non-conference contest of the 2024-25 campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The home side boasted a 30-23 lead at the halftime break.
- Emerson battled back to level the game at 43-43 on a free throw by Giulio Volote (Milan, Italy) with 8:44 remaining.
- The Lions grabbed their first advantage of the contest, 53-50, as Jacob Armant (Arlington, Texas) sank a jump shot and a free throw with 3:44 left to play.
- After the two teams traded baskets and Emerson owned a 57-56 edge, Connecticut College converted 5-of-6 from the charity stripe in the final 1:24 to earn a 61-57 victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jacob Armant (Arlington, Texas) posted a team-high 12 points and seven rebounds.
- Linun Helmhold (Krefeld, Germany) netted 11 points and grabbed six boards off the bench.
- Guillermo Gasset Ruiz (Malaga, Spain) chipped in with 10 points while Lucas Brenner (Miami, Fla.) added eight points.
- Emerson concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 46% while draining 7-of-15 from beyond the arc.
- Connecticut College shot 32.8% from the floor and 22.2% from three-point distance on the day.
- Edward Harrison poured in a game-high 17 points to pace the Camels and Cam Schainfeld notched 15 points.
