Men’s Volleyball Swept by No. 17 MIT

BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to nationally-ranked Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Tuesday evening in the first home match of the 2025 campaign. The Engineers entered the non-conference contest ranked No. 17 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) National Poll.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The visitors cruised to a 25-11 win in the opening set to claim a 1-0 edge.
  • MIT rolled past Emerson 25-9 in the second frame to extend its advantage to 2-0.
  • The Engineers posted a 25-17 decision in the third to secure their fourth sweep of the year and remain undefeated.


INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

  • Chase Fagen (Rye, N.Y.) tallied a match-best 11 kills.
  • Bryson Beck (Fresno, Calif.) finished with 12 assists, seven digs, and five kills.
  • Cash Muse (Montauk, N.Y.) chipped in with three kills and one block.
