SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Emerson College men's volleyball team suffered a 3-2 setback in a closely-contested match at American International Thursday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson captured the opening set 25-22 to establish a 1-0 lead.
- American International claimed the second frame 25-18 to level the match at 1-1.
- The Lions triumphed 27-25 in the third to regain a one-set advantage, 2-1.
- The Yellow Jackets bounced back in the fourth set to eke out a 25-23 decision to force a winner-take-all fifth frame.
- American International prevailed 15-12 in the fifth to secure its second win of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Chase Fagen (Rye, N.Y.) racked up a career-high 20 kills.
- Stanley Yu (Shanghai, China) posted a double-double with 10 kills and 14 digs.
- Cash Muse (Montauk, N.Y.) notched eight kills and three blocks.
- Bryson Beck (Fresno, Calif.) registered a career-best 40 assists to go with six digs and four kills.
- Semaj Byrd (Rockledge, Fla.) finished with a team-high 15 digs.
