BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's basketball team endured an 80-66 loss to Salve Regina Thursday evening at Hank Smith Court at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Salve Regina strung together a 9-0 run to capture a 19-9 advantage midway through the first half.
- Emerson trimmed the deficit to 30-28 with 3:08 remaining in the opening frame as Lucas Brenner (Miami, Fla.) splashed a three-pointer.
- The Seahawks chalked up five unanswered points to close out the half with a 39-32 lead.
- The Lions cut the margin to four points with 15:26 to go before the visitors countered with a 7-0 run to claim a 49-38 advantage.
- Salve Regina outscored Emerson 41-34 in the second stanza to seal its fourth league victory of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Lucas Brenner (Miami, Fla.) tallied 12 points and grabbed four rebounds.
- Linus Helmhold (Krefeld, Germany) finished with 10 points and eight boards.
- Trevor Arico (Saline, Mich.) scored nine points while Asher Gardiner (Christchurch, New Zealand) chipped in with eight points.
- Emerson finished with a field-goal percentage of 36.1% while connecting on 9-of-24 from three-point range.
- Salve Regina shot 45% from the floor and 36.8% from the perimeter on the night.
- Jack McMullen registered a double-double to lead the Seahawks, notching 21 points and 10 rebounds. Brad Fowler added 18 points while Jojo Powers recorded 15 points.
