BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's basketball team pulled away late to notch a 69-59 victory over Wellesley Wednesday evening at Hank Smith Court at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The home side established a 15-6 lead with three minutes remaining in the first quarter on a three-pointer by Kendra Dodd (Tampa, Fla.).
- Wellesley closed out the opening period with eight unanswered points to trim the deficit to 15-14 after 10 minutes of action.
- Emerson splashed four treys to start the second frame, widening the gap to 27-20.
- After the Blue's Ava Shane knocked down a corner three-pointer late in the second quarter, the Lions responded with a trey by Elise Arnold (Los Angeles, Calif.) just before the halftime horn to hold a 37-30 advantage at the intermission.
- The visitors strung together a 7-0 run to snag a 47-45 edge with 4:25 left to play in the third.
- The Lions capped off the third quarter with a 6-1 run to sport a 51-48 lead heading into the final frame.
- Emerson netted 18 points in the fourth period while Wellesley managed 11 points as the hosts collected their third-consecutive win.

- Kendra Dodd (Tampa, Fla.) poured in a game-high 20 points as she connected on six three-pointers.
- Bri Frongillo (Hopedale, Mass.) registered a double-double on the night, scoring 12 points and dishing out 11 assists.
- Charlotte Levison (Atherton, Calif.) finished with 11 points and a team-best eight rebounds.
- Elise Arnold (Los Angeles, Calif.) added 10 points and six boards off the bench.
- Emerson posted a field-goal percentage of 47.4% to go with 29.4% shooting from behind the arc.
- Wellesley shot 40.7% from the floor and 33.3% from the perimeter on the night.
- Ava Shane tallied 19 points to lead the Blue while Trinity Barrow chipped in with a double-double, recording 16 points and 10 rebounds.
