SPRINGFIELD, Mass.- The Emerson College men's basketball team suffered an 81-75 setback at Springfield Tuesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson jumped out to a double-figure lead with 11:24 remaining in the opening half, 21-11, on a layup by Giulio Volonte (Milan, Italy).
- Springfield chalked up four free throws in the final minute of the first frame to pull even at 40-40 at the break.
- The home side outscored the visitors 41-35 in the second stanza to prevail 81-75, snapping a four-game losing streak.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Trevor Arico (Saline, Mich.) netted a game-high 18 points while adding four rebounds.
- Lucas Brenner (Miami, Fla.) finished with 14 points, five boards, and four assists.
- Linus Helmhold (Krefeld, Germany) notched 12 points, six rebounds, and four blocks off the bench.
- Jacob Armant (Arlington, Texas), Guillermo Gasset Ruiz (Malaga, Spain), and Shay Roban (Long Island, N.Y.) all chipped in with seven points.
- Emerson shot 48.3% from the floor and 36.7% from the perimeter.
- Springfield posted a field-goal percentage of 52.5% and drained 2-of-6 three-point attempts.
- Cedric Rodriguez paced the Pride with 13 points while Jarron Flynn and Josiah Evely both added 12 points.
