BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's volleyball team dropped a hard-fought 3-2 decision to UMass Dartmouth Friday night at the Bobbi Brown and Steven Plofker Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson eked out a 25-23 win in the opening set to establish a 1-0 lead.
- The Lions captured the second frame 25-22 to extend their advantage to 2-0.
- UMass Dartmouth responded with a 25-23 victory in the third to narrow the deficit to 2-1.
- The Corsairs prevailed 25-16 in the fourth set to force a winner-take-all fifth frame.
- In the deciding set, the visitors triumphed 15-11 to remain undefeated on the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Parker Cummings (Rochester, N.Y.) paced the squad with 17 kills to go with nine digs.
- Amelia Combs (Eugene, Ore.) recorded her third-consecutive double-double, finishing with 15 kills and 14 digs.
- Brooke Maynez (Las Cruces, N.M.) notched 12 kills and five total blocks.
- Chloe Hokenson (McLean, Va.) posted 40 assists and a career-high 24 digs.
- Caroline Davis (Orlando, Fla.) registered 20 digs while Lily Nguyen (West Hartford, Conn.) added 10 digs on the night.
- Olivia Seutter led UMass Dartmouth with 18 kills and Kate Wade chipped in with 17 kills along with 15 digs.
