DALLAS, Pa.- The Emerson College women's soccer team absorbed a 2-0 loss at Misericordia Sunday afternoon. The Cougars began the season receiving votes in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Misericordia claimed a 1-0 lead in the 11th minute as Emma Sweitzer converted a penalty kick to bag her team-leading fourth goal of the season.
- The Cougars doubled their advantage to 2-0 in the 71st minute. Sabrina Competiello notched her second tally of the year as she knocked in her own rebound.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Maddie Khaw (Portland, Ore.) and Kelsea Laughrey (Redondo Beach, Calif.) each registered a pair of shots in the contest.
- Amara Schaub (Redondo Beach, Calif.) recorded seven saves between the posts.
- Emerson finished the match with seven shots while Misericordia manufactured 18 attempts.
