THE LEAD
Regis College took the Emerson men's volleyball team to the brink, but the Lions came out on top in a competitive five-set match. Emerson is currently 6th out of eight teams in the GNAC men's volleyball standings.

- Chase Fagen: 9 kills, 2 assists, 2 digs

- Joseph Perez: 16 kills, block assist, 2 digs
- Jalen Watt: 8 kills, 1 dig
- Tyrell Bucasas: 1 kill, 34 assists, 11 digs
- Malakai DeHuelbes: 3 assists, 13 digs

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Bayden Slavik and Theo Hackett each tallied 15 kills to lead the Lions offense. Hacket also shared the lead in the Emerson assist column with Bryson Beck, as they both racked up 22 assists over the course of the match. Regis' offense was led by Andrew Matzouranis and Joseph Perez, who had 18 and 16 kills, respectively. Tyrell Bucasas had a match-high 34 assists.
- Regis and Emerson had similar success rates with their offensive game plans. The Pride tallied 53 kills and 28 errors on 139 attempts (.180%), while the home team tallied 56 kills and 32 errors on 139 attempts (.173%).
- The Lions took the first two sets, but Regis didn't go quietly in either of them as they lost the 1st set by four points and the 2nd set by five. The Pride would turn things around on their hosts, taking the 3rd set by four points and the 4th set by three.
- The 5th set was as back-and-forth as it gets, with neither team wanting to give the other any chance to break away. Eventually, Emerson pulled ahead to a 14-11 lead off of three straight points: first, a kill by Slavik (assisted by Beck); then, a ball handling error by Bucasas; and finally, an attack error by Perez. Matzouranis (assisted by Bucasas) made it 14-12 from a kill, but another attack error by Perez ultimately ended things for Regis.
