HOW IT HAPPENED
- Emerson took an early lead in the 1st inning thanks to an RBI double by Makenzie Killough. Suffolk would score their first run of the game in the 4th inning from an RBI single by Becky Zellin.
- Offense for both teams was at a premium until the bottom of the 6th inning. Zellin belted a 2-run home run to left field to open the scoring for the Rams. Lily Newhall then reached base on an error and was brought around on an RBI double by Maddie Southers.
- Kate Regan would relieve Jessica Gomez in the circle after the double, but Suffolk would score three more runs off an RBI single by Lily Gustafson and a 2-run double by Ella Turnbull. In total, the Rams scored six runs on six hits in the inning.
- Suffolk continued the scoring in top of the 7th as Jollie Quintana got lucky on an RBI ground-rule double. The Rams would tack on another run after an error allowed Newhall to score from third base.
- Emerson had been shut out since they scored the first run in the 1st inning. Grace Beaulieu drew a walk to start the inning. She advanced to second base ona fielder's choice and then third base on a comebacker to the Newhall in the circle. Beaulieu would then score on a passed ball.
