HOW IT HAPPENED
- Colby-Sawyer got off to an early lead as RBI ground outs by Cooper O'Brien (1st inning) and Finn MacLennan (2nd inning) put the Chargers up 2-0 at the end of the 2nd inning.

Benny Guevara started on the mound for Emerson, having a respectable outing giving up one earned run on two hits to go with six strikeouts before being pulled at the end of the 5th inning with 90 pitches. Aidan Rice would replace him in the 6th inning.
- Colby-Sawyer added three more to their total in the top of the 6th thanks to RBI singles by Nick Johnson and Evan Dennis and an RBI double by Devin Montalvo. The Lions would score their first runs of the game in the bottom half of the frame after
Briggs Loveland belted a two-run homer. The score at the end of the 6th was 5-2.
- Aidan Rice went through the 7th inning unscathed, getting the first two outs via a double play. Emerson's
Ryan Herskowitz would cut into the deficit with an RBI groundout, making the score 5-3 at the end of the inning.
- Rice was relieved in the 8th inning by Exra Charles, who pitched a 1-2-3 inning by striking out the side. Collin Burchard relieved Zach Rogers in the bottom of the 8th for Colby-Sawyer, retiring the side despite hitting the first batter he faced.

Shane Moriarty relieved Charles for the 9th inning. Colby-Sawyer would score two in the inning via RBI singles by Sean Roeger and Cooper O'Brien. The Chargers would make a pitching change of their own in the bottom of the 9th, replacing Burchard with Jack Mullen. Emerson's
Nicholas Favazzo would reach base on an error and
Justin Fields singled, but the Lions were unable to score. The game ended with Colby-Sawyer winning 7-3.
