HOW IT HAPPENED
- Springfield's offense overwhelmed Emerson's defense in the first quarter, as the visiting Pride scored 11 unanswered goals.
- Ava DelliCompagni scored Emerson's its first goal of the game with 5:29 left in the second quarter. Springfield tallied two more goals to go up 13-1 at the halftime buzzer.
- The Lions put two more on the board in the third quarter. Bree Biesiadecki scored the first with 1:55 remaining off an assist from Maddie Reyes, while Lauren Longstreet was responsible for the second goal with 0:22 left. Springfield would score two of their own, making the score 15-3 at the end of the third.
- The fourth quarter saw Emerson score two more by the game's end. Callie Krosin scored with some help from Ava DelliCompagni with 13:46 remaining, while Grace Danehy put one in the back of the net at the 11:54 mark. The visiting side scored 4 goals in the quarter, bringing the final score to 19-5.
