HOW IT HAPPENED  

• Caleigh Sheehan spun a gem for the Lions as she threw a complete game 4-hitter, only surrendering one run and striking out 3 batters. Widener scored their only run in the bottom of the first inning and Sheehan wouldn't allow a run after that. 

• The Lions scored two runs in both the first and second inning, proving to be the only offense they would need in the game. 

• Neither team would score a run from the third inning on and the Lions secured a 4-1 victory on Wednesday morning.
