The Lead: The Emerson Lions Softball team came up short against the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford on Thursday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED  

• The pitching for Pitt-Bradford kept the Lions offense in check, only allowing 2 earned runs throughout the game and only surrendering 6 hits. 

• The difference in this game came in the third inning for Pitt-Bradford as they scored three runs to take a 3-1 lead over the Lions. The Lions cut into the lead in the in the home half of the third inning when Sam Zannotti singled in Claire Overton to bring the Lions within one run. 

• Heller slammed the door on the Lions offense for the remainder of the game and Pitt-Bradford escaped with a 4-2 victory.
