The Lead: The Emerson Men's Lacrosse was led by Jack Burns  on Tuesday evening in Baltimore MD as he found the back of the net 6 times en route to a Lions victory over Widener. Nicholas Fulgione and Alex Menendez both netted 3 goals apiece while Malcolm McGrath anchored the Lions defense in net, making 15 saves and only allowing 9 goals through 60 minutes.

HOW IT HAPPENED   

• Jack Burns carried the Lions offense on Tuesday evening in Baltimore MD as he found the back of the net 6 times en route to a Lions victory over Widener. Nicholas Fulgione and Alex Menendez both netted 3 goals apiece for the Lions. 

• Malcolm McGrath anchored the Lions defense in net, making 15 saves and only allowing 9 goals through 60 minutes.  

• The two sides were evenly matched through the first 30 minutes of play as the game entered halftime in a 4-4 tie. The second half is where the Lions took control; outscoring Widener 10-5. Emerson scored 5 goals in each quarter, while their defense and goaltending kept Widener's offense at bay.  

• The Lions closed out their spring break trip with a 14-9 victory.
