BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's basketball team rolled to a 96-73 wire-to-wire victory over Westfield State Thursday evening at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym as head coach Bill Gould notched his 200th career win.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson clung to a 25-22 edge after the first quarter.
- The Lions sported a 45-34 advantage at the half after shooting 50% from the floor in the opening two periods.
- The home side knocked down 13-of-16 field-goal attempts, including 3-of-4 from three-point territory, and outscored the visitors 30-14 in the third to boast a 75-48 lead heading into the fourth frame.
- Despite Westfield State finishing with a 25-21 margin in fourth-quarter scoring, Emerson claimed its first win over the Owls since 2021.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Bri Frongillo (Hopedale, Mass.) poured in a game-high 28 points to go with eight assists and six boards.
- Jessie Silk (Newton, Mass.) scored a career-best 22 points and added seven rebounds.
- Kendra Dodd (Tampa, Fla.) finished with 19 points on the night.
- Claire English (Winchester, Mass.) tallied eight points and grabbed 11 rebounds while Charlotte Levison (Atherton, Calif.) posted nine assists and nine boards.
- Emerson shot a season-best 57.6% from the floor and connected on 15-of-28 from behind the arc.
- Westfield State concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 33.3%.
- Olivia Hadla netted 22 points off the bench to pace the Owls while Jordan Grant chipped in with 15 points.
