BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's volleyball team collected a crucial 3-2 win over Wheaton Tuesday evening at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson rolled to a 25-16 victory in the opening set to establish a 1-0 lead.
- Wheaton responded with a 25-16 win in the second frame to level the match at 1-1.
- The Lyons notched a 25-17 decision in the third to claim a 2-1 edge.
- The Lions prevailed 25-14 in the fourth frame to knot the match at 2-2.
- In the winner-take-all fifth set, Emerson cruised to a 15-6 win to lock up an important league victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Amelia Combs (Eugene, Ore.) racked up a match-best 24 kills while Brooke Maynez (Las Cruces, N.M.) finished with 10 kills.
- Chloe Hokenson (McLean, Va.) registered 31 assists and 10 digs to go with six kills.
- Caroline Davis (Orlando, Fla.) posted 19 digs and Lauren Yoo (Redondo Beach, Calif.) chipped in with 10 digs.
