BRIDGEWATER, Mass.- The Emerson College women's basketball team suffered a 57-40 setback to Bridgewater State in the championship contest of the Cave Classic Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Bridgewater State clung to a narrow 16-15 edge after the opening frame.
- The Bears carried a slim 30-28 lead into the halftime break after outscoring the Lions 14-12 in the second period.
- The hosts chalked up 14 points while limiting the visitors to six in the third to boast a 44-34 advantage heading into the fourth quarter.
- Bridgewater State outscored Emerson 13-7 in the final frame to lock up its fourth-consecutive victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Claire English (Winchester, Mass.) earned all-tournament honors after posting her fourth double-double of the season, scoring 13 points and gathering 17 rebounds.
- Kendra Dodd (Tampa, Fla.) netted 12 points, draining four treys.
- Charlotte Levison (Atherton, Calif.) grabbed 12 boards while adding five assists and four points.
- Emerson finished with a field-goal percentage of 31.1% while shooting 26.7% from three-point distance.
- Bridgewater State shot 30.6% from the floor and connected on just 3-of-14 from beyond the arc.
- Kylie Grassi paced the Bears with 16 points while Kylee Piche tallied 12 points and Jessica D'Amours added 10 points.
