BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's basketball team dropped a narrow 68-65 decision to Albertus Magnus on a buzzer-beating trey Wednesday evening at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Worcester State established a double-digit lead with 13:45 remaining in the first half, 14-4, on a bucket by Camdyn Shoesmith.
- The visitors owned a 46-32 advantage at the halftime intermission.
- Emerson cut the deficit to 48-42 after starting the second stanza on a 10-2 run.
- The Lions seized a 56-55 edge with 10:02 remaining in regulation on a pair of free throws by Caden Zurek (Gilbert, Ariz.).
- After the Lancers grabbed a four-point lead, Emerson rattled off nine unanswered points to claim a 74-69 advantage with 3:07 on the clock.
- The home side posted its largest lead of the game with 1:58 left to play on a steal-and-score by Caden Zurek (Gilbert, Ariz.), 78-72.
- Emerson converted 3-of-4 attempts from the charity stripe in the final 15 seconds to stretch the margin to 83-79 before Worcester State's Amye Daguilh drained a three-pointer at the buzzer to trim the final score to 83-82.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Jacob Armont (Arlington, Texas) scored a team-best 24 points to go with four assists.
- Trevor Arico (Saline, Mich.) netted 14 points while Lucas Brenner (Miami, Fla.) added 11 points.
- Linus Helmhold (Krefeld, Germany) chipped in with 10 points off the bench.
- Emerson boasted a season-high field-goal percentage of 54.7% and connected on 9-of-17 from behind the arc.
- Worcester State shot 44.3% from the floor and 40.9% from long distance on the afternoon.
- Ayme Daguilh scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Lancers while Brandon Goris and Camdyn Shoesmith both finished with 11 points.
