BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's basketball team dropped a narrow 68-65 decision to Albertus Magnus on a buzzer-beating trey Wednesday evening at the Bobbi Brown & Steven Plofker Gym.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Albertus Magnus owned a 42-33 lead at the half.
- The visitors scored seven unanswered points to start the second stanza, widening the gap to 49-33 with 18:05 on the clock.
- Emerson clawed back to cut the deficit to two with 6:07 remaining in regulation, 58-56, on a trey by Trevor Arico (Saline, Mich.).
- The Lions knotted the game at 65-65 as Guillermo Gasset Ruiz (Malaga, Spain) splashed a three-pointer from the left wing with 1:33 left to play.
- Tazhon Daniels' last-second, three-point heave banked in to give Albertus Magnus a 68-65 victory, its first win of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Trevor Arico (Saline, Mich.) poured in a game-high 23 points, draining 5-of-7 three-point attempts.
- Lucas Brenner (Miami, Fla.) finished with nine points and four assists.
- Caden Zurek (Gilbert, Ariz.) chipped in with seven points and five rebounds off the bench.
- Emerson shot 39.7% from the floor and 40% from three-point range.
- Albertus Magnus concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 38.8% while connecting on 7-of-12 from behind the arc.
- Deivone Tanksley posted a double-double to lead the Falcons, tallying 15 points and grabbing 10 boards.
