BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's soccer team posted its second-consecutive shutout victory Wednesay evening, blanking Salve Regina 2-0 at Rotch Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson raced out to an early 1-0 advantage, getting on the board in the 14th minute. Kayla Sweeney (Flourtown, Pa.) slotted in her second goal of the season, set up by a deft back-heel pass from Madde Khaw (Portland, Ore.).
- The Lions tacked on an insurance score in the 61st minute to extend their lead to 2-0. Yoshiko Slater (Laurel, Md.) netted her team-leading third tally of the fall as she knocked in a free kick delivered into the box by Katie Wojcik (North Andover, Mass.).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Maddie Khaw (Portland, Ore.) and Kayla Sweeney (Flourtown, Pa.) both fired three shots while Linae Bezdek (Frisco, Texas) and Alianna West-Rodrigues (Waikoloa, Hawaii) each added two shot attempts.
- Senior netminder Amara Schaub (Redondo Beach, Calif.) made her 10th start of the year and finished with four saves to record her fourth clean sheet.
- Emerson concluded the contest with 16 shots while Salve Regina generated eight attempts.
