NORTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's soccer team endured a 2-0 loss at Wheaton (Mass.) Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson and Wheaton battled to a scoreless stalemate in the opening stanza with the visitors owning a narrow 6-5 edge in shots.
- The Lyons seized a 1-0 lead in the 49th minute as Ali Roche netted her fourth marker of the season.
- Wheaton tacked on its second goal of the game in the 56th minute to extend its advantage to 2-0. Maya Thomas collected her first tally of the fall off of an assist from Julia Sternat.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Yoshiko Slater (Laurel, Md.) paced the visitors with four shot attempts and Lauren Carlson (Fountain Hills, Ariz.) added three shots.
- Senior goalkeeper Amara Schaub (Redondo Beach, Calif.) made seven saves between the posts.
- Emerson produced 17 shots in the match while Wheaton finished with 12 attempts.
