BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's soccer team posted a 2-1 win over Worcester Polytechnic Institute Tuesday evening in the final regular-season contest at Rotch Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson captured an early 1-0 advantage, finding the back of the net in the seventh minute. Linae Bezdek (Frisco, Texas) knocked in her team-leading fifth goal of the season as Marissa Krenn (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Katie Wojcik (North Andover, Mass.) both picked up assists.
- The Lions widened the gap to 2-0 in the 57th minute. Linae Bezdek (Frisco, Texas) booted home her second tally of the game, pouncing on a rebound after Marissa Krenn's (Pittsburgh, Pa.) shot was saved.
- The visitors got on the board in the 81st minute to cut the deficit to 2-1. Jess English scored a direct free kick to net her first marker of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Linae Bezdek (Frisco, Texas) finished with four shot attempts and Maddie Khaw (Portland, Ore.) added three shots.
- Between the pipes, Amara Schaub (Redondo Beach, Calif.) started and recorded six saves before Hailey Forman (Sacramento, Calif.) came off the bench.
- The Lions manufactured 10 shots while the Engineers produced 11 attempts.
