WELLESLEY, Mass.- The Emerson College women's soccer team earned a key 2-0 victory at Wellesley Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson found the back of the net in the 21st minute, on its first shot of the match to grab a 1-0 lead. Yoshiko Slater (Laurel, Md.) netted her team-leading fourth goal of the season off of a feed by Marissa Krenn (Pittsburgh, Pa.).
- The Lions tacked on their second score of the game in the 56th minute to widen the margin to 2-0. Linae Bezdek (Frisco, Texas) notched her team-best fourth tally while Alianna West-Rodrigues (Waikoloa, Hawaii) collected her first assist of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Marissa Krenn (Pittsburgh, Pa.) paced the visitors with a pair of shot attempts while five others added one shot apiece.
- Senior goalkeeper Amara Schaub (Redondo Beach, Calif.) recorded seven saves to register her sixth clean sheet.
- The Lions produced seven shots on the afternoon while Wellesley finished with 14 attempts.
