BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's soccer team collected its first league victory of the season with a 2-0 win over Wheaton Wednesday evening at Rotch Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson jumped out to an early 1-0 advantage, chalking up a goal in the seventh minute. Theodore Bushara (New York, N.Y.) bagged his team-leading sixth marker of the year, booting home a cross from Ethan Minster (Wenham, Mass.).
- The Lions added a score in the 21st minute to extend their lead to 2-0. Kyler Maira (Acton, Mass.) buried his second tally of the season while Theodore Bushara (New York, N.Y.) provided the assist.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Sophomore goalkeeper Beckett Hobbs (Issaquah, Wash.) finished with one save to register his second clean sheet.
- Emerson manufactured six shots and earned a pair of corner kicks on the night.
- Wheaton attempted 14 shots and racked up 10 corners in the match.
