BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College women's soccer team secured a 2-1 victory over Springfield Saturday afternoon at Rotch Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half as Springfield held a 6-3 margin in shots.
- Emerson got on the board in the opening minute of the second stanza. Linae Bezdek (Frisco, Texas) netted her team-leading third tally of the season as Maddie Khaw (Portland, Ore.) picked up her team-best third assist.
- The Pride responded with a goal in the 48th minute to level the match at 1-1. Mia Salmon buried her fourth marker of the year as she knocked in a cross from Meredith Healy.
- The Lions reclaimed a one-score advantage in the 65th minute, 2-1. Marissa Krenn (Pittsburgh, Pa.) floated in her first goal of the season with a long-distance effort while Zoe Simmons (Los Angeles, Calif.) added her first assist of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Maddie Khaw (Portland, Ore.) paced the home side with three shots while Linae Bezdek (Frisco, Texas), Emma Brady (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), Marissa Krenn (Pittsburgh, Pa.), and Alianna West-Rodrigues (Waikoloa, Hawaii) all fired two shots.
- Senior netminder Amara Schaub (Redondo Beach, Calif.) posted seven saves on the day.
- The Lions manufactured 15 shots in the match while Springfield concluded the contest with 12 shot attempts.
