BOSTON, Mass.- The Emerson College men's soccer team posted a 2-0 victory over Westfield State in non-conference action at Rotch Field Tuesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The home side captured a 1-0 edge in the 37th minute. Jason Karas (Middleton, Mass.) buried his first career marker while Kyler Maira (Acton, Mass.) picked up his first career assist.
- Emerson tacked on a score in the 82nd minute to double its lead to 2-0. Owen Simas (Newburyport, Mass.) curled in his first collegiate goal as Theodore Bushara (New York, N.Y.) provided the assist.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Thomas Pelino (San Jose, Calif.) paced the home side with four shots while Dominic Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa.) added a pair of shot attempts.
- Sophomore Beckett Hobbs (Issaquah, Wash.) recorded five saves to chalk up his first clean sheet of the season.
- Emerson finished the match with 11 shots while Westfield State registered 12 attempts.
