HOW IT HAPPENED 
  • The Lions struggled from the field on Wednesday evening, converting 16 of their 48 attempts (33%) including only 4 of 14 (29%) from three-point land.
  • Asher Gardiner dropped in 9 points and pulled down 7 rebounds for the Lions while Jacob Armant led the Lions with 11 points.
  • John Adams led all scorers with 19 points for the Engineers while he also pulled down 11 rebounds; notching a double-double.
  • WPI did a lot of their damage in the paint as they outscored the Lions by a score of 24-16 in the painted area.
  • Despite both offenses struggling in the first half, the Lions grabbed a lead with a Jacob Armant three-pointer with just over 4 minutes remaining until halftime. WPI answered immediately and retook the lead and grabbed a 7-point lead as the teams entered halftime.
  • The Lions offense continued to struggle in the second half and was only able to score 19 points in 20 minutes.
  • WPI was able to take advantage of the Lions offensive struggles and cruise to a 61-44 victory.
