HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- The Emerson Lions had four scorers in double-figures; led by Trevor Arico with 16 points, Lucas Brenner with 14 points, and Guillermo Gasset Ruiz and Asher Gardiner both dropping in 13 points.
- Coast Guard scored the first points of the game, but the Lions soon after took the lead and never looked back.
- The Lions built a 15-point lead with 2:26 remaining in the first half and this was more than enough cushion to keep the Bears at bay for the remainder of the game.
- The Lions opened the second half with a 24-7 run, extending their lead to 24 points with just over 12 minutes to play in the game.
- The Bears were never able to recover from this deficit as the Lions cruised to an 18-point victory.
- With the win, Emerson tied the season series with Coast Guard at a game apiece.
