Lucas Brenner led all scorers with 20 points as he led the Emerson Men's Basketball Team to a victory over Springfield on Tuesday evening.
Guillermo Gasset Ruiz chipped in 17 points while four other Lions dropped 11 points apiece.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Lions saw six players score in double-digits as Lucas Brenner led the Loons with 20 points, including 6 three-pointers while Guillermo Gasset Ruiz scored 17 points including a perfect 3 of 3 from three-point territory. Brendan McNamara, Asher Gardiner, Jacob Armant, and Caden Zurek all scored 11 points in the Lions victory.
- As a team, the Lions converted 34 of 66 attempts (51%) including 13 of 26 (50%) from behind the arc.
- The Lions jumped out to a quick 12-point lead within the first 5 minutes of action and never looked back. Emerson led wire-to-wire, including a lead as large as 28points with just over 16 minutes remaining in regulation.
- Springfield was never able to get into rhythm on Tuesday evening and the Lions were able to pull off a comfortable victory to improve to 6-10 on the year and 2-4 in NEWMAC play.
