HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Despite having three players scoring in double figures; which included Asher Gardiner, Lucas Brenner, and Brendan McNamara, the Lions were out-done by NEWMAC foe Wheaton (Mass.)
- Dimetri Iafrate led the Lyons with 19 points while Eoin Morrissey added 14 points as Wheaton led wire-to-wire on Saturday afternoon.
- The Lions struggled to get their offense going in the first half as they only scored 29 points on 10 of 23 from the field while Wheaton scored 44 points on19 of 28 from the field.
- The second half was a closer battle but the 15-point lead that Wheaton had built before halftime was too much for Emerson to overcome as they ultimately dropped the game by a final score of 90-76
