The Lead: The Emerson men's soccer team hosted NEWMAC rival Babson on Saturday afternoon at Rotch Field. The game was a tale of two halves as the two teams  battled to a 0-0 halftime score before Babson netted three goals in the final 45 minutes to secure the victory.

First Half:
The first 45 minutes of play saw both sides with scoring opportunities but neither side able to capitalize.  Neither Emerson or Babson found the back of the net in the first half as the game entered halftime 0-0

Second Half:
The second half saw Babson's offensive might come to the forefront. In the 46th minute, Justin Stone found the back of the net, on an assist from Sam Morgan, giving Babson a 1-0 lead. Babson scored again in the 60th minute. Will Lloyd capitalized on a setup by Ryan Grund, extending Babson's lead to 2-0. Justin Stone added another goal the 61st minute, firmly placing Babson in the driver's seat with a 3-0 lead.
Despite Emerson's efforts, the Babson lead was too much and the visitors walked away with a 3-0 victory.
